Retail Strategies Selected to Develop Plan

BIRMINGHAM, AL (July 18, 2024) – Chester County, South Carolina is excited to announce a strategic partnership with Retail Strategies, the national expert in recruiting retail, to drive economic growth and attract new businesses to the region. This collaboration will focus on enhancing the retail landscape across the entire county, including the Gateway District, aimed at developing an area along Highway 9 and Interstate 77.

Chester County, South Carolina part of the Charlotte, North Carolina MSA, is experiencing unprecedented industrial and residential growth and desires a strategy for commercial development. Retail Strategies is well connected within the real estate community in this region, having worked in the Charlotte, North Carolina and Columbia, South Carolina regions for more than a decade and will leverage these connections for Chester County’s benefit.

Retail Strategies will utilize a data-driven approach to create a retail recruitment strategy that includes a market analysis and an assessment of local real estate assets. This approach will ensure Chester County attracts sustainable and impactful retail that aligns with the community’s needs and growth plans.
