Chester County, SC — October 24, 2025 — The Chester County Economic Development team is proud to celebrate Princeton NuEnergy (PNE) for being awarded the 2025 Smart Move SC New Plant Award at the South Carolina Manufacturing Summit luncheon. This award recognizes innovation, investment, and commitment to advancing South Carolina’s manufacturing landscape.

Princeton NuEnergy’s new facility in Chester County is already gaining recognition for its forward-thinking approach to lithium-ion battery recycling and materials production. Once operational, the company will bring cutting-edge technology and sustainable manufacturing practices to South Carolina’s growing clean energy sector.

Princeton NuEnergy is developing a scalable, faster, and cost-reducing solution for Li-ion battery recycling, designed to address current industry challenges such as high operational costs and low efficiency. Their innovative process will help advance the circular economy and support the future of energy sustainability.
