The Chester County Sheriff’s Office has a new tool in its fight against crime.
Chester County Sheriff Alex “Big A” Underwood recently announced the opening of the Chester County Sheriff’s Office newest substation at 800 Chester Ave. in Great Falls. The Rock Hill Housing Authority donated the apartment to Underwood’s office in “a diligent effort to deter crime, improve non-emergency accessibility to police services and to encourage community involvement in relaying pertinent information to law enforcement about any illegal activity in the area.” Underwood said he was grateful.
“We are excited about this new office and appreciate the Rock Hill Housing Authority for their generosity”, Underwood said.
Underwood said he encourages other businesses and agencies to get involved in cleaning up their communities and assisting law enforcement in deterring crime.
“It takes everyone getting involved to make a major impact on reducing and deterring crime. It should be a community effort,” Underwood said.
