Jeff A. Burgess Joins Chester County Economic Development

I am very pleased to announce that Jeff A. Burgess joined our team as Project Manager on June 24th.

He will be recruiting prospective companies and assisting local companies in their plans for additional investment and job creation.

Jeff has 20 years in economic development specializing in business relations, industrial recruitment, business retention and expansion, strategic planning, downtown revitalization projects, and speculative building programs.

Previously Jeff worked as Vice President of Business Development for Fitts & Goodwin, Inc. where he identified new business opportunities while building and developing new client business.

Prior to joining Fitts & Goodwin, Jeff served as the Executive Director of the Lee County Economic Development Alliance and was responsible for administering the economic development program for the county.

From 1997 to 2003 at the Department of Commerce, he held the position of Grants Manager with the Division of Community Grant Programs responsible for providing technical assistance and monitoring of Community Development Block Grants. Later he held the position of Rural Manager where he was responsible for providing technical assistance regarding strategic planning and product development to the county economic development professionals.
