Chester grad signs with Vikings

2008 Chester High graduate Charles “C.C.” Whitlock was not selected in the NFL Draft this weekend, but has still found his way onto an NFL roster, signing as a free agent with the Minnesota Vikings. After bouncing between offense and defense during his freshman year at South Carolina, Whitlock settled in at defensive back and helped give the Gamecocks one of the nation’s best defenses over the past three years. Whitlock had 54 tackles, 10 pass break-ups and five interceptions in his career. This past season, Whitlock played in all 13 games as South Carolina had its best-ever season. Whitlock helped guide Chester High to the AAA state title game in 2007. Check back for updates.
